Warning: Unauthorized Hotel and Housing Solicitations
The Five Star Conference has been made aware of a telemarketing phone scam perpetrated by a number of companies, attendees and exhibitors supporting the 2018 Five Star Conference and Expo, offering hotel reservation and other services at an unauthorized discount. Once the scammer has corporate credit card information, they attempt to run charges (as a booking agent) without any affiliation to The Hyatt Regency or Five Star.
Please note: The Five Star Institute does not engage in telemarketing services for hotel or travel services.
If your organization has been contacted by a telemarketing firm offering discounted hotel rates over the phone or has been contacted via an unfamiliar email address using the Five Star Institute name, offering hotel reservation or registration services, we urge exhibitors, sponsors and attendees to notify Five Star immediately at concierge@thefivestar.com and refuse to respond to anything sent by a booking service.
